Prisma Health Midlands Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Peggy and Joe Pinner Endowment Fund to benefit Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands. Starting next year and with income from the endowment fund, Children’s Hospital will dedicate a day as “Joe Pinner Day.” The new endowment fund’s purpose is to support the children’s hospital as Joe did – sparking joy, fun and learning for children.
Prisma Health Children’s Hospital receives historic $5 million pledge to benefit children’s cancer research
Curing Kids Cancer, a nonprofit organization devoted to funding cutting-edge pediatric cancer therapies, has pledged a historic $5 million to Prisma Health Midlands Foundation to fund research led by Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands and in partnership with the USC College of Pharmacy. With the pledge, Curing Kids Cancer established a new endowment named Killian’s Hope for a United South Carolina.
$2 million capital campaign supports opening of Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center
Prisma Health Midlands Foundation thanks donors for their support of a $2 million capital campaign for a new Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital. Because of gifts from Midlands community members, the center officially opened in August 2025. The new center continues to advance and expand Prisma Health’s current wound treatment in the Midlands area – reducing diabetic limb amputations and the loss of lives.
