Prisma Health Midlands Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Peggy and Joe Pinner Endowment Fund to benefit Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands. Starting next year and with income from the endowment fund, Children’s Hospital will dedicate a day as “Joe Pinner Day.” The new endowment fund’s purpose is to support the children’s hospital as Joe did – sparking joy, fun and learning for children.
Prisma Health Children’s Hospital receives historic $5 million pledge to benefit children’s cancer research
Curing Kids Cancer, a nonprofit organization devoted to funding cutting-edge pediatric cancer therapies, has pledged a historic $5 million to Prisma Health Midlands Foundation to fund research led by Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands and in partnership with the USC College of Pharmacy. With the pledge, Curing Kids Cancer established a new endowment named Killian’s Hope for a United South Carolina.

Prisma Health Midlands Foundation extends its sincerest appreciation to the donors, sponsors and friends who helped raise more than 440,000 at the 2025 Festival of Trees and Donor Celebration, presented by Aflac. More than 500 guests kicked off the holiday season on November 21 at Central Energy for the signature fundraiser benefiting Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Midlands.
