As we await the start of a new year and reflect on 2023, there are many ways you made a difference in the lives of the patients and families seen through Prisma Health’s doors, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude. Your generosity continues to be the cornerstone for our ability to provide and support critical health care initiatives at Prisma Health in the Midlands.
Here’s just a few highlights of our accomplishments together this year:
- With your commitment to our mission, we’ve raised around $5 million. This ensures that Prisma Health can continue to expand access to health care and reach our community regardless of economic circumstances.
- You can be proud to know that you’ve sent 200 patients and family members to our Children’s Hospital Camps.
- Your unwavering support helped inspire more than 3,500 community members to hit the pavement in our 2023 Walk for Life & Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon + 5K. This impactful celebrates breast cancer survivors, lifts up others currently in treatment and raises funds for Prisma Health Breast Centers. This year’s event helped fund a 3D Mammography unit for Prisma Health Richland Hospital, renovations to Baptist Breast Center and patient support programs for patients. Prisma Health Breast Centers are part of the Prisma Health Cancer Institute.
Through various events, fundraisers and great conversations, you helped us raise around $3 million to advance health care initiatives and programming at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Midlands.
- Because of our partnership with our beloved Midlands community, even greater impact was achieved through Children’s Miracle Network.
We couldn’t do this work without you. Your gifts throughout the year empower our Prisma Health team members with the equipment, tools and resources needed to provide the highest quality care.
