Inspiring philanthropy to advance health care in the Midlands of South Carolina

Prisma Health Midlands Foundation (formerly Palmetto Health Foundation) celebrated its 25th anniversary this month. Founded in March 2000 as Palmetto Health Foundation – when Palmetto Health Richland and Baptist Medical Foundations merged – the Foundation has been instrumental in funding innovative treatments, facilities, patient programs and more in the Midlands.

2024 was a banner year for Prisma Health Midlands Foundation. Because of you, the Foundation is helping make a difference in the lives of patients and families served by Prisma Health.

Since its inception in 2000, Prisma Health Midlands Foundation – formerly Palmetto Health Foundation – has given more than $143 million to advance health care in the Midlands community.

The William L. Ivey endowment provides scholarship opportunities for Prisma Health Richland team members to attend an Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) national or international conference with the expectation that knowledge gained will be shared with colleagues and will result in first-hand expertise that will be a tremendous asset to Prisma Health.
